WORKING JUMPING CASTLES

ASA has many types of jumping castles:

• Candyland Jumping Castles x2
• Christmas Jumping Castles x3
• Ice Wonderland Ball Crawl x1
• Shark Castle
• Sea Circus Giant Slide
• Giant Worm Jumping Castle
• Paw Patrol Jumping Castle

Each individual castle has a max capacity of 8 children per castle.
The Ball Crawl has max capacity of 20.

NO ADULTS ARE ALLOWED ON ANY OF THE ABOVE CASTLES

It is important to familiarise yourself with the activity areas prior to patrons arriving. You can check your Jumping castles for the following hazards:

• Fences are in the correct positions
• Mats are in the correct positions
• There are no tripping hazards on the ground
• There are no lost shoes left in the area (take to lost and found if there are)
• Sharp or protruding objects identified and covered or isolated
• Hand sanitizer is available at entry points
• You can begin your shift by cleaning all surface areas with the provided disinfectant spray, making sure the you cover all surfaces • including:

Entry, Walls, Pillars, Floors, Fences

When the day begins and patrons arrive you need to count how many patrons you can allow in 1 play cycle, adhering to the above-mentioned max capacities.

Examples:

Christmas Castles x3: 8 patrons per castle = 24 per rplay cycle. You must have only 24 patrons inside the fenced area.

COVID SAFE Note: Make sure that every child cleans hands with Hand sanitizer as they enter the fenced area.

This group of patrons now needs to be advised on the rules of the jumping castle. It is best to bend down so you are at eye level with the kids so that get their full attention. You can start of by saying “HI Kiddo’s we are just going to go over the rules!”

RULES of the Jumping Castles.

• 1 person at a time going down the slide,
• Make sure there is no one at the bottom of the slide so that children do not crash,
• No climbing up the slide – children MUST use the steps
• NO Jumping from the slide, children MUST sit on their bottom and slide down.
• Socks are preferably left on.
• After this has been verbally communicated with the kids, you can allow them to go on with a maximum of 8 kids per castle. (20 on the ball crawl.)

You must stand where you can see the kids playing and make sure they are following the rules, if you see any kids “Breaking” the rules you need to go on and tell them again that that activity is not permitted.

The kids can play for about 3-5 minutes. Then you have to call “TIMES UP!”

The kids are called off and they collect their shoes.

COVID SAFE Note: You must give the surface areas a spray with the disinfectant spray after each play cycle.

Then you can start again by getting the next round patrons into your fenced area. Please be aware of the following points:

• Beware of criminal activities such as predatory behavior, persons taking interest in minors or photos of same.
