Welcome to the Victorian Family Fun Fairs (VFFF)
The VFFF is all about creating a fun, magical and memorable experiences for families & young adults.
If you’re here then you are in the process to become a member of the VFFF team and need to complete the staff induction process. As you are well aware a lot has changed in 20/21, to become a member of our team you will be required to complete your employment documents online, have completed and supplied your working with children’s clearance and police checks and also complete the Covid-19 training in the links provided on the induction page.
Your Role in the Event
VFFF recognises the importance our team member’s contribution to the success of our operation. We are dedicated to providing thorough training to all team members to arm you with the knowledge & confidence you need to handle any situation in the execution of your role as an VFFF event attendant.
Your Work Ethic
You are on the front line of operations and as such your actions reflect directly on the Event. It is vital to us that you maintain a professional, positive attitude towards the position you have been selected for.
A friendly outgoing personality towards customers is important. Your job is to provide a family friendly experience for every guest visiting the VFFF. We are looking for enthusiastic employees who enjoy engaging the people. Please Take Note: This is a hard job that requires you to work on your feet and you are expected to talk to and engage with patrons.
Positions Available
There are a variety of jobs available at the VFFF and full on the job training will be provided for each. The positions require responsible persons who can maintain a positive focus during each session.
• Ride Attendant
• Games Attendant
• Waterballs Attendant
• Jumping Castles Attendant
• Retail Attendant
• Ticketing Attendant
• Covid-19 Safe Marshall
Uniforms
Th VFFF will provide a full uniform for all attendants. Please see the table below listing all items and their value. You will be given one full set of uniforms. These need to be returned in good condition and in full. If they are damaged or lost you will need to pay the retail value of them.
If you are not required to where a full costume uniform i.e shirt, skirt, tights and hat. please wear plain black pants with closed in shoes. Always have clean neat tidy appearance and keep hair well groomed and pulled back. Make up can be more fun but appropriate to a family friendly environment. Good personal hygiene is essential and employees must have a fresh clean appearance including shower, body deodorant, groomed facial hair and fresh clean breath.
• Shirts x 2 = $10 each
• Skirts x 1 $30 each
• Tights x 1 $15 each
• Hats x 1 $10 each
Presentation
• Full uniform must be worn at all times when you are on shift,
• Shirts are not to be tied up or sleeves rolled up,
• No tattoos or piercings can be visible,
• Hair should be tied back and makeup should be neat and casual.
• VFFF uniforms will not be worn in casual settings outside of work ie: in a PUB or other public space.
• Please Remember: Your conduct while wearing a Santa’s Wonderland uniform is a direct reflection on our Event.
Occupational Health and Safety
All VFFF workers must comply with Australian Occupational Health & Safety Standards. Specifically:
• Closed in shoes must be worn at all times when at work.
• A high visual vest must also be worn on BUMP IN & BUMP OUT Periods.
Mystery Shoppers
VFFF will also have independent mystery shoppers that will attend our Event. Mystery Shoppers will report back to us on a wide variety on items such as those mentioned in the list below. Attendants must score at least 95% in the shopper report.
• How many team members were located at the sales point.
• What was the team member doing when you arrived.
• Was the team member appropriately dressed.
• Was customer service their first priority.
• What was the atmosphere like at the sales point.
• Did the team member acknowledge you on entry.
• Did the team member use a friendly greeting.
• What greeting was used.
• What was the team members manner and tone like?
Our Mystery Shoppers will also report on other undisclosed criteria. The main thing to remember is that if you act in a professional, diligent & courteous manner you should have no problems passing the VFFF independent mystery shopper.
