WORKING THE ZERO GRAVITY
EMPLOYEE RESPONSIBILITIES
Pre-Shift Checks
- Inspect the race areas for tripping hazards.
- Ensure fences are securely assembled.
- Conduct a visual check of the deck for any foreign objects.
- Examine all seats, harnesses, and seat belts for wear or damage. Report any concerns to the operator.
Loading and Unloading Patrons
Confirm that patrons meet the height requirements:
- 120cm with a responsible adult.
- 130cm to ride unattended.
- Load the ride evenly, prioritizing weight distribution by alternating sides.
- During busy times, enlist additional attendants to assist with loading from two entry gates.
ENTRY PROCESS
- Important Safety Reminder: Attendants must not open the gates until the ride has come to a complete stop and the arms are fully lowered to the deck.
- Open the entry gate and collect tickets.
- Direct groups of 2-3 patrons to their assigned car based on color and number.
- Close the entry gate once the maximum number of patrons has entered and signal the operator.
SAFETY CHECKS BEFORE RIDE OPERATION
Harness and Seatbelt Checks
- Close harnesses for all cars.
- If two attendants are present, one can close cars 1-7 and the other can handle cars 8-14.
- Perform a push and pull test* after closing the harness to ensure it is secure.
- Lock the seat belt and again perform a push and pull test to verify its security.
- Check the back of the headrest to ensure the light is OFF, indicating that the car is locked.
- The operator will notify you of any cars that are not locked.
- Once confirmed locked, exit the gate and secure it for ride operation.
OPERATIONAL CONDUCT
- Always face the ride and maintain a clear view of the operator to signal if necessary.
PROHIBITED ITEMS
- No earpieces, mobile phones, or smartwatches while on duty.
- No eating or drinking during your shift (a water bottle is allowed outside the gate).
- Avoid distractions from friends or passers-by to maintain focus.
PATRON SAFETY GUIDELINES
Ensure patrons do not ride under the following conditions:
- Eating or drinking.
- Carrying bags or other items.
- Using phones.
- Wearing long or bulky clothing (including scarves).
- Being physically or mentally disabled.
- Being under the influence of drugs or alcohol.
- Having heart conditions.
- Being pregnant.
IMPORTANT POINTS TO REMEMBER
- Stay Outside the Ride
- Check rider heights and ensure all prohibited items are removed before entry.
PROPER SEATING
- Ensure patrons are seated correctly, with legs separated and heads straight.
Closing Harnesses
- When closing harnesses, push down firmly and then close the seat belts, ensuring they are secure.
- Compress the harness as much as possible against the patron’s legs.
- Check the back of the headrest to ensure all lights are off, indicating that the harness is locked.
LOADING PROTOCOL
- Load cars closest to the gate first.
- Attendants will be assigned specific cars to load.
